-As Kanto is a "civilized" region of the Pokemon world you will tend to encounter far less eating of bugs or vermin or other more gross/wild creatures as you would in say Hoenn or Sinnoh
-Most plant pokemon in Kanto are also toxic in some form, which means they eat them or their fruits/seeds/etc far less than in some other regions
-Because Kanto is urbanized, much of its (modern) food is imported from staple species such as Miltanks in Jhoto or Tauros/Doduo raised on giant ranches based out of the Safari Zone. It relies much less on local ranching/agriculture than for example Hoenn or Sinnoh
